Genome Project

One of the findings that is causing the genetic control myth to evaporate is the Genome Project.  This project was the mapping of the genes of the human.  It takes over 120,000 different proteins for the human body to work.  It is still being taught that there is a specific gene present to make each protein.  However, when the genes were all mapped, it was found that the human only has about 25,000 genes!

In 1957, Howard Temin won the Nobel Prize for showing that the genes in DNA could be altered.  RNA could go against the DNA/RNA concept and rewrite the DNA.  We now know that the flow should be in both directions and is controlled by the environment: which includes nutrition, emotions, and exercise.
